Rushlight

Rushlight is Wheaton College’s literary and visual arts journal. Founded by Wheaton professor Lucy Larcom in 1855, Rushlight has long been a gathering place for creative minds. In fact, Rushlight is proud to be the oldest continuously-publishing student literary magazine in New England. The content of the magazine, which has two editions each academic year, is composed of poetry, prose, plays, and original artwork chosen from a pool of over one hundred submissions each semester. It is typically staffed by an Editor in Chief, an Art Editor, and student readers. In 2007, a reading by previously published Rushlight authors was a great success; it’s something the magazine hopes to sponsor again.
