The Best Update for Meadows You’ll Get All Week!
Ahoy Meadows!
Senate news for the week:
-Senate approved a resolution condemning last Thursday’s bias-related incident involving the LGBTQ Pride flag being stolen from the Chapel, view it here (thanks to YMCA quad senators for upload!): http://www.box.net/shared/nevk1czbuu
-SGA Week is next week, watch for Gabe’s e-mail with further detail on this matter.
-President Crutcher will be attending the SGA Senate meeting on Tuesday November 3rd at 7:00. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, this is a great chance to get to know the workings of the senate and get an update on the status of the college from President Crutcher himself.
-Educational Council is about to begin the process of selecting textbooks for library reserve next semester. They spent approximately $1,500 this semester on books, purchasing 15 total, and will be doing something similar for next semester. We’ll keep you updated when more information becomes available.
-Suggestion boxes are officially up and running. Look for one in the center lounge with more to come in the various lounges in our quad over the course of the week. Give us your suggestions, criticisms, and complements please!
-Senate Housing Action Committee has begun the process of reviewing housing situations of students, particularly in forced triples. They are also beginning work on compiling a database of what it is like to live in different quads on campus. If you would like to write a commentary on life in Meadows please e-mail your senator who will be able to give you more information on this.
Don’t forget to check the events calendar for upcoming goings-on around campus at http://wheatoncollege.edu/Calendar/Home.html !
