Blasé Blasé, Whateva Whateva
Hey Wheaton Community,
Welcome to my blog on the SGA website! You may be asking yourself, “what does Gabe Amo mean with this blog title?” Well, allow me to explain. One thing that you must know about me is that while I’m a fan of all music, I’m a hip-hop head. No doubt. Among my favorite rappers are the Wu-Tang Clan, in particular, the GFK…Ghostface Killah. Whateva, whateva is one of his key phrases. So there you go. To answer questions about the blasé blasé, over the objections of the College Hearing Board Chair, it is a phrase intended to convey a similar meaning, but in a cooler way (see Urban Dictionary).
Anyway, as this is my first post, I will keep it light, but look for updates as I try to connect with you about SGA, Wheaton College, and life. As my predecessor once advised me (and I hope he had a chance to take to heart), take your work, not yourself, seriously. This is an outlet for that to occur. I hope that you join in on the fun.
Before you go, take a look at this picture from the Lyon’s Den — where I am a proud barista — and President Crutcher’s cello performance of a 13 minute piece written for him by a friend from his Yale School of Music days. He was focused playing that instrument and definitely impressed this president.

See you around the Dimple.
Peace,
Gabe
